Interesting story!

I was curious, when we say immunity reduced due to age or other factors, is that related to reduction in the antibody diversity?

Love the question! Thanks Neha. In short, yes. As we age, the production of B cells in the bone marrow drops. Consequently, lesser B cells, lesser are unique antibodies generated, that results in a lower repertoire to attack different pathogens.

Thanks a lot Deep. I'm glad you enjoyed it. This article took me longer to write than any of my previous ones, but it's my favourite. I was so fascinated by VDJ recombination when I first heard of it.
